Nano, a low-latency cryptocurrency built on an innovative block-lattice data structure offering unlimited scalability and no transaction fees. Nano by design is a simple protocol with the sole purpose of being a high-performance cryptocurrency. The Nano protocol can run on low-power hardware, allowing it to be a practical, decentralized cryptocurrency for everyday use. The original Nano (RailBlocks) paper and first beta implementation were published in December, 2014, making it one of the first Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) based cryptocurrencies [6]. Soon after, other DAG cryptocurrencies began to develop, most notably DagCoin/Byteball and IOTA. These DAG-based cryptocurrencies broke the blockchain mold, improving system performance and security. Byteball achieves consensus by relying on a β€œmain-chain” comprised of honest, reputable and user-trusted β€œwitnesses”, while IOTA achieves consensus via the cumulative PoW of stacked transactions. Nano achieves consensus via a balance-weighted vote on conflicting transactions. This consensus system provides quicker, more deterministic transactions while still maintaining a strong, decentralized system. Nano continues this development and has positioned itself as one of the highest performing cryptocurrencies. Nano is a trustless, feeless, low-latency cryptocurrency that utilizes a novel blocklattice structure and delegated Proof of Stake voting. The network requires minimal resources, no high-power mining hardware, and can process high transaction throughput. All of this is achieved by having individual blockchains for each account, eliminating access issues and inefficiencies of a global data-structure. We identified possible attack vectors on the system and presented arguments on how Nano is resistant to these forms of attacks. Check out CoinBureau for the complete review of Nano.

There's a lot of fud. Try NANO yourself with small amounts if you're uncertain. It's being described as the best crypto out there for a reason. Settlement times fully confirmed are sub-second, there's no transaction fees, it uses barely energy, it's divisible in tiny amounts and capable of being used for micro payments ( games ). It uses no miners which means it won't consume more energy with more miners coming in. So far it's the coin that get's closest to being the perfect cash. It misses privacy in my opinion but then on the other side we are still early in crypto and every coin is still being developed on. Regardless of being having an open ledger without privacy as most coins have, it's the one I would pick as a currency hands down. This is coming from someone who has tried probably around 50-100 different crypto currencies by now always in the search of the next gem. Someone who would leave NANO in a heartbeat if another coin would provide something better than NANO does in terms of technology, fundamentals, user experience and token/coin distribution.

Instant. Feeless. Scalable. No premine. The only thing that remains to be seen is if it can handle spam attacks.

$NANO is fantastic. The dev team does not abandon fundamentals - $NANO is innovation. Try $NANO, you'll love it as I do.

Incredibly fast, zero fees, large community that's persisted for years, capped supply, supply fully in distribution. This and Banano have shown resilience through enough years that I'd believe that they'd be around for the long term.

Writing this in May 2021. So I recently got into cryptocurrencies, I'd say I qualify as late to being early. I bought Doge as a goof back in Jan of 21 and rode some Elon hype all the way to some profits and got out of it. I'm not the smartest person but I'm sharp enough to realize when somethings not sustainable. With all the extra Doge cash I was holding I decided to spin off the money into other currencies, hoping to turn a meager investment into some actual money way down the line. So I commenced doing some research on all the "Alt-coins" of the present market. After reading a bunch, visiting different communities/forums/subreddits I picked Nano (and a few others but to a much lesser extent). When I tried Nano the network was recovering from a spam attack that occurred a few months prior, I sent a single Nano from one wallet to another to see how quick it was. It was almost instantaneous and it didn't cost a fraction of a Nano to send it. Every other established coin I tested took some time, took some gas fee, or both. Nano is also not a utility token/coin. It doesn't serve any other purpose than a simple store of value or as a currency, sure that sounds bad, but that makes sense to me. If cryptocurrencies are going to be adopted en masse, they need to be easy to understand, and easy to use. Nano is just that. Its what I thought bitcoin was supposed to be, only faster and cheaper and it utilizes a negligible amount of energy in comparison. I do see a lot of animosity towards Nano and its community, and that put me off initially, but I decided to investigate it a bit deeper and found a lot of it tied to one commonality. A large number of people holding other, more established (I.E. valuable) cryptocurrencies seem to actively view Nano as a threat to their portfolios. If people holding Bitcoin are afraid of Nano, then I find that very encouraging for its future. Wouldn't be entirely surprised to find out that may have been the motivation behind the spam attack. Anyway I'm just some idiot on the internet, Do some more research elsewhere as well. but don't give these reviews a ton of weight. that goes for mine and everyone elses on here.

Nano is the only near instant, eco-friendly, and zero fee cryptocurrency. Nano gets a lot of hate because it is has some of the most advanced technology and threatens most other cryptocurrencies in existence. Ignore the low effort Fuders, DYOR, and discover Nano for yourself.
