Gas is one of the two coins created by Neo Foundation. It is used to pay processing fees for Neo coin transactions. In the Neo network, Proof of Stake (PoS) governs block processing, where block production depends on the amount of tokens held rather than Proof of Work mining power.
Neo holders are compensated with Gas on a monthly basis as a form of compensation associated with PoS. The initial release paid about one Gas per day with 1000 Neo, with the reward designed to gradually decrease over time.
Risk Report
Cryptocurrency carries risk. Every project listed on this site, regardless of its score, operates in a volatile and largely unregulated market. Tokens can lose most or all of their value. A high score reflects lower structural risk based on the data we can measure. It does not mean a project is safe, that the price will hold, or that losses are unlikely. Always research independently and never commit money you cannot afford to lose.
