The ShipChain platform is based on a simple, yet powerful solution called "Track and Trace." Our ecosystem will encompass all methods of freight, and will include an open API architecture that can integrate with existing freight management software. The ShipChain platform unifies shipment tracking on the Ethereum blockchain, using a sidechain to track individual encrypted geographic waypoints across each smart contract. With this system, the meaning of each cryptographic waypoint is only accessible for interpretation by the parties involved in the shipment itself. This gives shippers more visibility across their supply chain, and allows carriers to communicate with ease. Information about loads, geo waypoints, and other basic information is recorded and publicly validated within the sidechain. On the shipment's delivery and confirmation, the contract is completed and stored on the main blockchain.

ShipChain ICO project is most likely more advanced in technical and business development than any other ICO. I consider it a very legitimate project and one of the most likely to succeed with real consumer revenue in the next two years. Here are the latest known developments:

ShipChain ran an ICO and sold the SHIP token using hype. The price has done nothing but decline, the ShipChain team will not discuss the token to avoid securities violations, and now ShipChain has removed their whitepaper and considers the SHIP token a Utility token.
ShipChain will ban anyone from social media and discussion accounts for not only leaving a negative remark/review but also for even asking a question about the SHIP token.
According to a blog release from ShipChain, they will now be starting an overseas foundation that will have full control over the SHIP token. U.S.A. residents that purchased the SHIP token cannot even buy/sell SHIP on the two exchanges that offer the token (HitBTC, IDEX).
There are deep ties to ShipChain and possibly even ShipChain employees running the unofficial telegram charge, but don't expect to have an intelligent conversation in the chat as you will be marked Richard Gorman (the person whom is suing John Monarch for attempting to extort $500,000 worth of Bitcoin or John would release personal information basically destroying his reputation), told you are stupid, then banned. Not to mention their five person army of supporters will then take to your social media accounts to harass you. Most of the people leading the charge are completely delusional or attempting to corral "idiot investors."
Stay away from this scam.

No it isn’t. It’s a startup which has a different game plan from most of the other hype Ico’s.
they prefer to spend money at government lobbying. Instead of using funds to buy into exchanges.
It’s currently busy with the final stages of their shipchain test net.
Ready to go live in the first half year of 2020.
Furthermore setting up a community platform to decentralize the networksupport from the shipchain company. The name of this platform would be Openscale.
The network will run on The SHIP token to buy Karma.
