Theta Network

Theta Network, founded in 2017, operates as a blockchain-based decentralized platform focused on AI, media, and entertainment. It comprises two main components: the Theta Edge Network, which features over 10,000 global nodes providing substantial GPU compute power, and the Theta Blockchain, which supports smart contracts, payments, and rewards. The edge network delivers approximately 80 PetaFLOPS of compute capability, facilitating tasks such as AI, video rendering, and 3D modeling.

The Theta Blockchain is EVM-compatible, allowing for a variety of Web3 applications, including NFTs, decentralized exchanges, and DAOs. Governance involves a council composed of major industry players such as Google, Samsung, and Sony.
