It differentiates itself from traditional stablecoins by not relying on centralized reserves or collateral for value maintenance. Instead, USDN utilizes a Delta-Neutral strategy to achieve value stability through interactions between two participant groups: Vault Participants, who deposit assets to mint USDN, and Long Position Traders, who take leveraged positions on the underlying asset.
This framework aims to keep USDN’s value aligned with the U.S. dollar while also enabling yield generation for its holders. The design presents a decentralized alternative to conventional stablecoins, focusing on both stability and potential profitability in the decentralized finance sector.
