Sky Protocol, launched in 2024, serves as an upgraded version of the Maker Protocol. The system operates using a stablecoin called USDS, which maintains a valuation equivalent to one US dollar. Sky Protocol employs automated agreements known as smart contracts, removing the need for intermediaries in financial transactions. Its two primary tokens are USDS, used for savings, and SKY, which facilitates community governance.
The governance model of Sky Protocol is entirely decentralized, relying on its global community of SKY token holders for management, without a central authority. SKY tokens enable holders to vote on significant system changes and are also used to stake in the Staking Engine, which contributes to network security and allows for the generation of rewards. This staking process additionally provides access to borrowing USDS, reinforcing SKY's dual role in governance and income generation within the ecosystem.
Risk Report
Cryptocurrency carries risk. Every project listed on this site, regardless of its score, operates in a volatile and largely unregulated market. Tokens can lose most or all of their value. A high score reflects lower structural risk based on the data we can measure. It does not mean a project is safe, that the price will hold, or that losses are unlikely. Always research independently and never commit money you cannot afford to lose.
Liquidity and market dynamics score 91 out of 100. On-chain and market metrics show strong trading depth, with volume-to-market-cap around 1.24% and 24h volume of $23,017,146. Exchange listing data indicates broad access, with presence across 66 exchanges and no red signals in that listing set. Overall, the market appears liquid enough to reduce execution risk under normal conditions.
Team credibility score 46 out of 100. Public records show limited transparency around identity: the team is anonymous, and there is no deploy or genesis date on record. Still, one audit firm is on record, and the deployer address is recorded (noted as known). Taken together, the audit presence is a partial positive, but the lack of clear team identity and missing timing context lowers confidence.
Social behavior score 72 out of 100. There is limited audience visibility for the linked Twitter and Telegram accounts (with follower counts unavailable for Twitter and Telegram), but sentiment is strongly positive, with 100% up and 0% down. Agent risk signals show no allegations, no bad press, no regulatory flags, and no incidents recorded. The main constraint is that some social analytics are not available as a snapshot.
Contract mechanics score 95 out of 100. The contract is verified, open source, and shows no honeypot behavior. Ownership checks indicate owner privileges safety, and balances are locked. Hidden or privileged features are marked as present, but the broader control and configuration checks score well: trading tax is 0.0% for buys and sells, a hard supply cap is defined, and 99% of total supply is circulating. Minting is possible (token is mintable), with a moderate score in that specific area.
Holder distribution score 25 out of 100. Concentration is high, with top 10 wallets holding 90.4% and top 50 wallets holding 96.0%. The largest non-filtered wallet holds 42.9%, and the flagged single-wallet-over-10% condition is present. While there are 12,948 total holders, the distribution metrics indicate meaningful centralization risk, which can increase volatility if concentrated holders change positions.
Inherent crypto risk for this asset (Sky): even with strong contract checks and liquidity, the asset remains exposed to market and governance risks typical for smart contract tokens. Here, the biggest inherent risk is centralized ownership and concentration among the largest wallets, alongside the fact that the token is mintable, which can amplify supply and price dynamics if minting activity occurs.
