Rain is a decentralized options protocol built on Arbitrum, allowing users to create and trade custom markets in a permissionless environment. The protocol includes public markets that utilize Olympus AI’s oracle agent for resolution, while private markets permit creators to act as resolvers. It supports secondary trading and features account abstraction to enhance user experience.
The native token, $RAIN, operates under a deflationary model, with 2.5% of trading volume allocated to buy and burn the token. Governance is conducted through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), ensuring that token holders have a say in protocol decisions.
Risk Report
Cryptocurrency carries risk. Every project listed on this site, regardless of its score, operates in a volatile and largely unregulated market. Tokens can lose most or all of their value. A high score reflects lower structural risk based on the data we can measure. It does not mean a project is safe, that the price will hold, or that losses are unlikely. Always research independently and never commit money you cannot afford to lose.
Economic design score 65 out of 100. The project's economic design shows a strong hard cap of 1,150,000,000,000 tokens, ensuring clear supply limits. However, currently, only 42% of the total supply is circulating, raising a flag for potential liquidity concerns. This under-50% circulating ratio suggests that a significant portion of the tokens remains locked or unavailable for trading, which can impact market stability.
Liquidity market score 73 out of 100. The liquidity market score indicates a healthy trading environment, with a notable 24-hour trading volume of $17,192,389. The liquidity depth score is quite high at 81, suggesting a solid depth in the market. Additionally, the presence across 13 exchanges, including a majority in the green zone, demonstrates strong accessibility for potential investors.
Team credibility score 59 out of 100. The team credibility score reflects mixed elements. While the project has been operational for 3.3 years and holds a high-quality whitepaper, the anonymity of the team raises some concerns. The low score for team exposure, sitting at 25, suggests a lack of transparency, which is often viewed negatively in the crypto space. An audit from one firm is noted, but further validation would enhance confidence.
Social behavioral score 68 out of 100. The social behavioral score indicates a moderate level of engagement within the community, with 15,048 followers on Telegram and a linked Twitter account. Audience data is limited on Twitter, and sentiment analysis shows a balanced viewpoint with equal proportions of positive and negative sentiments. The absence of regulatory issues or bad press contributes positively to the project's image; however, the history of hacks necessitates caution.
Contract mechanics score 99 out of 100. The contract mechanics score is exceptionally high, showing comprehensive safety features. With all contracts verified and open source, along with crucial protective measures against issues like honeypots and balance manipulation, the project demonstrates a strong focus on security. However, the use of an upgradable proxy could introduce potential risks if not managed carefully.
The overall safety score of 67.85 suggests that while Rain has several strong attributes, including excellent contract mechanics and decent liquidity, key concerns like an anonymous team and past exploits necessitate cautious investment. Inherent risks associated with cryptocurrency investments remain, so thorough due diligence is essential for potential investors.
