peaq is designed to facilitate transactions among robots and machines across various blockchain networks. It operates as an omnichain coordination layer, providing necessary tools for machines, including identity verification, wallets, and reputation management. This system is particularly focused on enabling autonomous economic activities.

The architecture of peaq consists of three layers: the Machine Layer (peaqOS) which incorporates machines as economic actors, the Trust Layer that manages reputation and validation through staked capital, and the Service Layer that connects machines with external service markets. By being chain-neutral, peaq allows machines to operate simultaneously on multiple blockchains, enabling seamless discovery and transaction across different platforms.
