Notional Finance is a decentralized protocol based on Ethereum designed for fixed-rate borrowing and lending. Its focus on fixed rates aims to address the limitations of variable rate lending in the DeFi sector, catering to individual investors, business owners, and institutional investors. Users can borrow or lend USDC and DAI for terms of up to one year, and ETH and WBTC for six-month terms through its on-chain liquidity pools. The V2 upgrade introduced nTokens, ERC20 tokens that streamline the experience for liquidity providers by automating debt rollovers.
Founded in 2021, Notional Finance raised $10 million in a Series A funding round, which included participation from notable venture capital firms. The protocol was relaunched on November 1, featuring new functionalities and the introduction of the NOTE governance token, allowing users to participate in decision-making processes within the ecosystem.
Cryptocurrency carries risk. Every project listed on this site, regardless of its score, operates in a volatile and largely unregulated market. Tokens can lose most or all of their value. A high score reflects lower structural risk based on the data we can measure. It does not mean a project is safe, that the price will hold, or that losses are unlikely. Always research independently and never commit money you cannot afford to lose.
