Notional Finance is a decentralized, Ethereum-based protocol for borrowing and lending at fixed rates and fixed terms. It supports borrowing and lending of USDC and DAI for up to one year, and ETH and WBTC for up to six months via on-chain liquidity pools. Liquidity provider tokens are issued as nTokens, which are ERC-20 representations of a user's share of the liquidity pool, and are used in a way that automates maturity handling.
Notional Finance received a $10 million Series A in May 2021. Following a relaunched protocol on 11/1 with new features, a NOTE governance token was introduced. The description does not specify a founding year, founder name(s), supply cap, or detailed governance model beyond the presence of the NOTE token.
