Metronome is a cryptocurrency developed by Bloq, which announced the project in October 2017. It was launched in December 2017 and is recognized by the symbol MTN. Initially built on the Ethereum blockchain, Metronome aims to facilitate cross-blockchain compatibility, with plans to support Ethereum Classic by Q1 2018.

The technical architecture of Metronome includes a system for cross-chain compatibility that generates exit receipts when transitioning between chains. This feature is intended to enable interoperability among various blockchains, enhancing its usability within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
