Locus Chain is a Layer 1 public blockchain protocol established to achieve decentralization and scalability. It leverages patented technologies and supports multiple sectors, including decentralized finance, GameFi, and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) projects. The native cryptocurrency, LOCUS, is currently an ERC20 token and is designed for transactions, fees, and governance within the Locus Chain ecosystem. A unique feature includes 1-to-1 atomic swaps for transitioning tokens from Ethereum to the Locus mainnet.
The technical architecture incorporates a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) known as the Account-Wise Transaction Chain (AWTC) for efficient transaction processing across individual accounts. It utilizes a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus model alongside dynamic sharding to enhance network performance and fairness. Verifiable pruning allows for efficient data management while maintaining verification capabilities, thus addressing challenges associated with traditional blockchain ledgers.
