Flow is a layer one blockchain founded with the aim of supporting consumer applications and their digital assets. It operates on a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism and utilizes a unique "multi-role" architecture designed to address scalability, efficiency, and cost issues in blockchain systems.
The platform features Cadence, a specialized programming language for smart contracts targeting consumer applications, and offers full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
