This is unlike traditional games where all decisions are made by the game developers. AXS holders will be able to stake their tokens to earn more AXS and even vote for governance proposals.

Definitely a scam for the following reasons: 1 - A modern version of Ponzi scheme, where new players have to join to keep paying the old players. Players earn money by playing the game then selling their earnings (SPL tokens or newly bred axies) to new players joining the game. As more people are interested the prices of the new axies are getting more and more expensive. Since you need at least 3 axies to form a team and start playing you need to at least 3x250 USD + gas fees (could be hundred of USD in total) for the very basic axies. These basic axies can hardly gain battles against the more experienced and stronger teams. when the game is saturated and no new people are interested in joining the game no one will pay for the new axies (the price crashes) and SLP token will lose its value leaving the later joining player with massive losses. 2 - The developing team knows it is ultimately failing and the economics are not sustainable yet they do nothing about it as they always earn money by paying very expensive fees. 3 - Earnings are paid in SLPs so those unrealized gains as good as long as SLP price is high, until market saturation and no one finds a new player, they all sell causing a crash in the market. 4 - Random banning of accounts with no customer system to appeal. 5 - The discord server is full of scammers and Axie team is doing nothing to prevent them.

AXIE Infinity Developers are purposely manipulating the market for their benefit. 1. Mass banning of AXIE accounts worth tens of thousands of dollars. Once you are banned, there is no way to appeal. Thousands of dollars worth of AXIE pets are gone. 2. SLP manipulation. They were manipulating the supply of SLP by disabling some of the rewards in-game. They were hiding behind the reason of servers being overloaded. A well-experienced Developer would laugh his ass knowing this bullshit. The developers have millions of dollars and all the data they need and yet they did not anticipate this problem? That is just plain bullshit. Beware. DOYR
