Ampleforth is a digital asset protocol designed for smart commodity money, founded in 2018. It utilizes an elastic supply mechanism where the total supply of its native token, AMPL, adjusts in response to price fluctuations, aiming to maintain a target price of 1 USD.

The supply changes occur every 24 hours, affecting the number of tokens held by each wallet on a pro-rata basis. This unique feature provides counter-cyclical trading pressure and establishes a low correlation with other digital assets, such as Bitcoin, contributing to its distinct market behavior.
