Acala focuses on creating a liquidity infrastructure for web3 finance, encompassing elements of both decentralized and centralized finance. The project offers a Universal Asset Hub that includes protocols for multichain liquid staking tokens, a decentralized exchange utilizing automated market maker technology, and an application platform compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine, built on Substrate.

Founded in 2020, Acala operates on the Polkadot ecosystem and serves as a liquidity gateway for Polkadot parachains as well as layer one and layer two blockchains. Its objectives include facilitating solutions that incorporate both crypto and real-world assets within a unified framework.
