Aave MKR is an interest-bearing token created when MKR is deposited into the Aave protocol. It is designed to maintain a peg of 1:1 with the value of the underlying MKR during its circulation.
The aMKR token can be stored, transferred, and traded without restrictions. While the original MKR is loaned to borrowers, aMKR accrues interest in real time, which is reflected directly in the holder's wallet.
