What is Flux?

Flux is a cryptocurrency that supports various functions within the Flux ecosystem, including resource purchasing, node collateralization, transaction facilitation on FluxOS, and rewards for miners and FluxNode operators. The ecosystem features a mineable proof-of-work cryptocurrency ($FLUX), a decentralized computational network (FluxNodes), and a Linux-based operating system (FluxOS).

The Flux blockchain enables on-chain governance and economic interactions, allowing for interoperability with other blockchains and access to decentralized finance. As of May 2025, the Flux network comprises approximately 11,500 decentralized nodes globally, leveraging over 96,000 CPU cores, 230 terabytes of RAM, and more than 6.1 petabytes of storage.
