What is WAX?

WAX is a blockchain platform established to enhance e-commerce transactions, utilizing a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism. It is designed to be fully backward compatible with EOS and incorporates various features that aim to improve usability in the e-commerce space, including systems for voting on proposals and guilds.

The platform supports the development of decentralized applications (dApps), marketplaces, and native non-fungible tokens (NFTs). WAX provides a range of tools for e-commerce operations, including the WAX Cloud Wallet and developer resources. The blockchain is characterized by 500 millisecond block times and a fee-less transaction model for users, with governance incentivizing participation in block production and proposal decisions.
