What is The Graph?

The Graph is an indexing protocol designed to organize and provide access to blockchain data using GraphQL. It allows developers to search for and publish public data necessary for creating decentralized applications. The platform supports the development of serverless decentralized applications that utilize public infrastructure.

The native token of The Graph is GRT, an ERC20 token utilized for coordinating network activities. Node operators, referred to as Indexers, earn GRT by processing queries, while others can delegate GRT to these Indexers to help secure the network and receive rewards. Curators play a role by signaling GRT on relevant APIs, known as subgraphs, thereby collaborating with Indexers and Delegators to facilitate the organization of data within the ecosystem.
