What is Spark?

Spark is an on-chain capital allocator designed to enhance capital efficiency within decentralized finance (DeFi), centralized finance (CeFi), and real-world assets (RWA). It utilizes a backend system known as the Spark Liquidity Layer (SLL) to route liquidity to various protocols while minimizing risk through auto-balancing allocations. Spark leverages reserves exceeding $6.5 billion from its parent project, providing the foundation for its yield products, such as stablecoins sUSDS and sUSDC.

The platform includes features like SparkLend, which offers governance-defined lending rates without fluctuation based on loan size or utilization, and Spark Savings, which allows users to earn yield on stablecoins. Currently, Spark holds a total value locked (TVL) of approximately $7.9 billion, effectively functioning as a source of liquidity for other DeFi protocols across multiple blockchain networks including Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum.
