What is Smooth Love Potion?

Smooth Love Potion (SLP) is a token used within the Axie Infinity ecosystem, primarily earned by players through various game modes. The token, previously known as Small Love Potion, transitioned to the Ronin blockchain. SLP plays a key role in breeding digital pets called Axies, with breeding costs that vary based on the number of times an Axie has been bred.

The initial breeding cost starts at 100 SLP and increases incrementally up to 2,100 SLP for the maximum of seven breeds. This structure is intended to stabilize the marketplace and manage inflation. SLP supports the Play-to-Earn model, which has gained traction among players, particularly in regions like the Philippines, as it offers participants opportunities to earn rewards through gameplay.
