What is Quai Network?

Quai Network is a merge-mined network designed to coordinate multiple blockchains, referred to as execution shards. It employs the Proof-of-Entropy-Minima (PoEM) consensus mechanism, which aims to eliminate consensus-based contention. This architecture enables the network to process more than 50,000 transactions per second.

The network features a composable multithreaded execution environment, with blocks produced approximately every 1.1 seconds. The structure allows for scalability and ongoing coordination among an expanding set of blockchains.
