What is Polymath?

Polymath specializes in technology for the creation, issuance, and management of security tokens on the blockchain, with over 200 security tokens already deployed using its Ethereum-based solution. The project is currently developing Polymesh, a blockchain specifically tailored for regulated assets, focusing on key regulatory elements such as identity, compliance, confidentiality, and governance. Polymath initiated the ERC 1400 standard for security tokens on Ethereum, which aims to simplify token management by addressing challenges related to custodial assets and regulatory compliance.

The native utility token of the Polymath platform is POLY, which is utilized for transactions within the Polymath Token Studio on Ethereum. Polymath's infrastructure offers user-friendly tools designed to facilitate access to blockchain functionality, particularly for non-technical users, and aims to meet the needs of modern capital markets through dedicated solutions for digital securities. The characteristics of Polymesh are intended to specifically cater to institutional requirements, contrasting it with general-purpose blockchains.
