What is Pipe Network?

Pipe Network is a decentralized edge cloud platform that combines content delivery, storage, and AI inference into a single infrastructure. It aims to address the challenges posed by traditional CDNs and centralized cloud providers by utilizing hyperlocal Points of Presence (PoPs) operated by community-run nodes situated close to end users, enhancing speed and reducing delivery costs.

The project is based on the Solana blockchain, where smart contracts govern functions such as proof-of-delivery and node reputation. Its native PIPE utility token is used for bandwidth, storage, and compute credits in a burn-to-credit model, linking token demand to actual network usage. The network has facilitated the transfer of over 1 billion files and more than 60 PB of data.
