What is Ovr?

OVER is a platform focused on creating a large-scale 3D map using a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN). It incentivizes users to map high-traffic areas with smartphones and 360-degree cameras in exchange for OVR Tokens. The project has mapped over 150,000 locations and holds a dataset of more than 60 million images, which support applications such as training Vision Foundation Models and facilitating Visual Positioning Systems.

The system operates using two tokens: the fungible OVR Token and the non-fungible OVRLand NFT. The OVR Token serves as the primary medium of exchange within the ecosystem, incentivizing mappers and enabling OVRLand purchases. OVRLand represents spatial domains of 300 square meters and grants owners rights for XR publishing in those areas. The platform has registered over 1.3 million users and sees significant engagement with thousands of geo-localized AR experiences.
