What is Nectar?

Nectar (NECT) is a stablecoin that operates on the Berachain platform, utilizing an over-collateralized model and issued through the Beraborrow protocol. Holders of NECT can redeem their tokens against the underlying collateral at face value. To borrow, users need to open a Den and deposit an approved asset from Berachain as collateral.

The Beraborrow protocol is a collateralized debt position (CDP) framework designed specifically for Berachain. It employs a Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) mechanism, which is intended to align incentives between borrowers and the broader Berachain ecosystem.
