What is Maverick Protocol?

Maverick Protocol is a decentralized finance project that launched its Maverick AMM in March 2023. It aims to enhance efficiency in the DeFi sector and supports various features such as customized liquidity distributions, fee auto-compounding, and price following for native Liquid Staking Tokens. The protocol received $18 million in funding from multiple investors and has facilitated over $2.5 billion in trading volume across Ethereum, zkSync Era, and BNB Chain.

The native utility token, MAV, is utilized for governance within the Maverick ecosystem. Through a Voting Escrow contract, users can stake MAV to obtain veMAV, which grants them increased voting power based on the duration of their stake. Upcoming developments include the launch of governance contracts in Q3 2023 and additional features subject to DAO votes in subsequent quarters.
