What is Kaspa?

Kaspa was launched in November 2021 without pre-mining, pre-sales, or coin allocations, and is fully community-managed. It aims to function as a sequencer for both traditional finance and decentralized crypto markets through a proof-of-work model utilizing the BlockDAG consensus protocol known as GHOSTDAG.

The network is designed to possess multiple features, including hard money principles, enhanced security analogous to Bitcoin, and rapid decentralization due to fast block mining rates. Kaspa supports smart contract development through rollups, enabling efficient liquidity management. Future improvements may include block header pruning and support for layer 2 solutions, facilitating enhanced network capabilities.
