What is Illuvium?

Illuvium is a decentralized gaming franchise established on the Ethereum network, focusing on high-quality gaming and verifiable digital asset ownership through a play-to-earn model. Players engage in an open-world fantasy role-playing game where they capture creatures known as Illuvials, represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The project's economic framework ensures that 100% of generated revenue is returned to stakeholders who hold the native token.

The project enhances scalability by processing transactions on Immutable X, a Layer 2 solution employing Zero-Knowledge Rollups for efficient operation. The ILV token serves as both the utility and governance token, enabling holders to participate in the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) for voting on development and economic decisions. Illuvium was co-founded by Kieran and Aaron Warwick and has received support from venture capital firms including Delphi Digital and IOSG Ventures.
