What is Elastos?

Elastos, founded by Rong Chen, aims to create an open-source platform for a decentralized internet. It combines a hybrid consensus model utilizing Bitcoin's security and Delegated-Proof-of-Stake principles. The platform incorporates blockchain technology alongside a peer-to-peer network for communication, decentralized data storage services, and a decentralized ID system for digital assets.

The flagship product, elastOS, integrates the decentralized ecosystem into a single application, currently available on Android with plans for iOS and desktop versions. Elastos also runs the Cyber Republic initiative, which includes a community-governed grant fund to support new and existing decentralized application projects.
