What is Bedrock?

Bedrock DAO is a governance framework designed for decision-making within the Bedrock ecosystem. It allows BR token holders to engage in governance by converting their BR tokens into veBR, a voting escrow token that influences various protocol characteristics, incentive structures, and liquidity allocations.

The governance mechanism relies on veBR, which is acquired by locking BR tokens at a 1:1 ratio. The amount of voting power increases with the duration of the lock. veBR holders participate in voting on governance proposals, which include gauge allocations that affect the distribution of incentives across liquidity pools.
