What is Aster?

Aster is a decentralized perpetual exchange that facilitates non-custodial trading and operates across multiple blockchain networks, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum. The platform was developed from the merger of Astherus and APX Finance in late 2024, allowing APX token holders to convert their assets to the ASTER token. It enables trading of both cryptocurrency perpetuals and U.S. stocks with leverage options of up to 100x, all settled on-chain in a crypto format.

The ASTER token has multiple functions, including governance rights and staking rewards for liquidity providers. Aster features two trading modes: Simple Mode for users seeking straightforward, MEV-resistant trading, and Pro Mode for experienced traders desiring advanced tools. The platform aims to provide substantial liquidity while allowing users to retain control of their assets and offering opportunities for passive returns through yield-generating collateral deposits.
