What is Abelian?

Abelian is a Layer 1 blockchain established on April 17, 2022, designed to be quantum resistant and privacy preserving. It employs lattice-based cryptographic systems based on CRYSTALS-Dilithium and Kyber, which have been selected by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology as part of its post-quantum cryptography standards. The blockchain features a native privacy coin, ABEL, which offers various levels of privacy.

The project features a governance model that plans for an open-source release by the end of 2023 and a migration from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake by the end of 2024. The primary use cases for the ABEL token include serving as a store of value and as gas for transactions on the network.
