What is Aave SUSD v1?

Aave SUSD is an interest-bearing token that is created when SUSD is deposited and destroyed upon redemption. This token is pegged 1:1 to the value of the underlying SUSD in the Aave protocol and can be stored, transferred, or traded.

While SUSD is lent out to borrowers, Aave SUSD accrues interest in real-time in the user's wallet. This functionality allows users to benefit from interest generation while the underlying asset is utilized within the protocol.
